New River CTC provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older of all genders. MAT is an evidence-based, research-supported method of opioid addiction treatment that includes prescription medication and counseling. When MAT first began to be used in methadone clinics in the United States, methadone was the only medication that was approved for use.
