In order to determine what investments may be suitable for a client, I need to accumulate important facts. These include age, income expectations and requirements, current assets and liabilities, income in and outside of any retirement plans, estate planning ideas, willingness to assume certain risks, investment experience and knowledge, the need for diversification, and other factors. I view my CPA background as a bonus for clients; and I use it often in assisting clients so that the right decisions are made to 1) maximize after tax income and 2) preserve and enhance the value of a person’s assets
